About the event

Metamorphoses and Transformation, Pictured through Movement, Silhouette and Progressive Imagery. Exploring the power of liminality and a lapse in selfhood .

When do you feel like yourself? And when do you feel parts slip away? Following a guided partner discussion of a current life transition, we will picture ourselves in motion towards a future realization. Liminal spaces are rites of passage. Using Polaroids for reference, partners coupled during class will photograph themselves with whole body movement and fabric in motion to describe ourselves in a transition in our lives as they are right now. Cutout, colored paper, and collage will complete our image(s) of this transition.

CREATIVE DIVE! Workshops with Rebecca Meredith

There's no reason to be alone while you make. Be in the moment, share your observations of your environment, of your own process, and learn by doing. A social and positive attitude towards exploration, without concern for failure is a contagious recipe for satisfaction and enjoyment. Consider what's possible if let yourself play. In Creative Dive workshops, we experiment with a variety of media in order to allow the innocence and unimpaired enthusiasm of the novice. We play and explore in a social and supportive context.
